REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

All documents must be original, legalized or apostilled, and translated into Italian.

Mandatory Documents

  • Complete birth certificate with all personal details (including parents) and annotations, where applicable
  • Criminal background check’s records:
    • from the country of origin
    • from the countries of residence (from age 14)
    • from the countries of citizenship
  • A valid government issued identity document (such as a passport, for example)
  • Certification of proficiency in the Italian language (at a minimum at level B1)
  • Receipt of payment of €250 to the Italian Ministry of the Interior
  • Marriage certificate issued by the Italian municipality
