Call for sponsors for Festa della Repubblica, Italy’s National Day 2018

The Embassy of Italy in Washington, DC is planning a series of events in celebration of the Festa della Repubblica, Italy’s National Day, on June 4, 2018. This is a call for Sponsors that wish to be engaged in the organization of the abovementioned event, on the set date and also on the days immediately preceding and following June 4, 2018.

Sponsorship Details
Aim of the sponsorship is making resources available for services rendered or for supplies provided on the occasion of the celebration of the Festa della Repubblica, Italy’s National Day. In compliance with applicable Italian laws, individual contracts shall be drawn between the Embassy of Italy and the Sponsor. With regards to the execution of this sponsorship contract, Sponsors shall comply with any fees or additional tax requirements as set by Italian or local laws.
The Embassy of Italy, on its part, shall ensure full visibility of the logo, brand name, and of other distinctive elements of the Sponsor, throughout the celebration of the Festa della Repubblica, Italy’s National Day.
The Embassy of Italy shall allow the presence of more than one Sponsors to support the abovementioned events.

Sponsor Requirements
Acceptable Sponsors are public or private organizations that wish to advertise their name, brand, activity, products, services, or else by entering in a collaboration agreement with the Embassy of Italy in Washington, DC.
Sponsorship proposals shall include the following documents:

  • A. Written statement with details of the sponsorship offer, name and contact information of the Sponsor, i.e., public entity, private business, individual, company;
  • B. Self-certification of:
    • 1. Acceptance of the conditions outlined in this call for sponsorship;
    • 2. Name of the legal counsel of the Sponsor, if applicable;
    • 3. Absence of any prejudice or damage to the image of the Embassy of Italy or to its events;
    • 4. Signed Enclosure A, a statement of the absence of conditions that would bar the Sponsor from entering into contractual agreement with the Public Administration.

Duration of this Notice and Evaluation of Proposals
This notice ‘Call for Proposals’ shall be available as published until May 11, 2018. The sponsorship proposals received within this time frame are going to be evaluated by officers of the Embassy of Italy for adherence to the principles of economy, effectiveness, impartiality, equal treatment and transparency.

Among the sponsorship proposals received, one or more Sponsors may be selected to enter into sponsorship agreements with the Embassy of Italy.
Sponsorship proposals are not considered binding for the subsequent formalization of the contract. The Embassy reserves the right not to accept proposals that, due to the nature of the sponsorship or of the activities of the Sponsor, may generate conflict of interests; may cause prejudice or damage to the image and activity of this Embassy; or that are contrary to the general principles of the Italian legal system, or forbidden by law.

Processing of personal data pursuant to the Legislative Decree 196/2003
The proponents give hereby their consent to the processing of personal data for the exclusive purpose of administrative and accounting management. The Embassy of Italy shall be in charge of the processing of personal data.
