DEBIT CARDS NOW ACCEPTED AS PAYMENT METHOD FOR IN-PERSON CONSULAR SERVICES FOR ITALIAN CITIZENS

Effective July 1, 2024, payments for in-person services for Italian citizens can also be made using a debit card.

This new payment method, which is in addition to the existing ones, can therefore be used from the 1st to the 25th of each month to pay the required fees for passport applications, electronic identity cards (C.I.E.), signature authentications, powers of attorney, attestations, certifications, translations, and other documents issued on the spot, or for the submission of applications, requests, and declarations related to in-person services.

This payment method may not be used for visa services.

Note: This payment method is only available from the 1st to the 25th of each month. For the remaining days of the month, other payment methods (cash, cashier’s check, money order) are accepted.
