On the occasion of the 4th Week of the Italian Cuisine in the World, the Embassy of Italy is pleased to announce a Contest for University students of the Italian language (follow this link for more information). The 4th edition the ”Settimana della Cucina Italiana nel mondo” will take place between November 18th and November 21st and highlight the theme “La Dieta Mediterranea”, a sustainable, balanced and healthy nutrition model and underscore the risks associated with counterfeit Italian Food and with “Italian sounding”.
Students are asked to write an essay of 300-500 words in Italian, in which they describe what they believe authentic Italian cuisine to be. As an award, the winner will receive a prestigious invitation by the Ambassador of Italy Armando Varricchio to participate with a guest to a Gala dinner at Villa Firenze, the residence of the Italian Ambassador.
