The fee for the recognition of Italian citizenship “iure sanguinis” may vary from quarter to quarter during each calendar year.

 

Consular fees for all services offered, including that for Italian citizenship “iure sanguinis”, are available on the main page entitled “Consular Services and Visas.”

 

The Counsular fee for Italian citizenship “iure sanguinis valid for applications submitted between April 1 and June 30, 2026, is highlighted in the table below:

Please note:

  • Payment must be made at the consular office on the day of the appointment.
  • Cashier’s checks and money orders must be made out to “Embassy of Italy, Washington DC”.
  • Debit card payments are accepted only from the 1st through the 25th of each month.
