Starting today, the Italian Ambassador to the United States, Marco Peronaci, is in North Carolina for institutional meetings, including one with Rob Harrington, the Mayor of Charlotte, and engagements with the local Italian business and cultural community.
Accompanied by the Consul General in Philadelphia, Nico Frandi, and Honorary Consul Valentina Cecchi, Ambassador Peronaci will also chair a meeting a meeting of the Business Networking Group at Biesse. In line with the national export conferences launched by Deputy Prime Minister Antonio Tajani, this visit offers an opportunity to hear from the more than 120 Italian companies in the area and support their growth in the U.S.
The Ambassador will also visit the “Caravaggio/Revolution” exhibition, hosted by the Mint Museum in Charlotte until October 25, 2026, and made possible through a collaboration with the Roberto Longhi Foundation in Florence. Meetings with Opera Carolina Artistic Director Claudio Ferri and Maestro Stefano Vignati will follow.
