Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Hon. Luigi Di Maio in Washington (November 14, 2019).

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Hon. Luigi Di Maio, participated in Washington at the Ministerial Meeting of the Small Group of the Global Coalition against Daesh. The meeting was attended by 28 countries, the European Union, NATO and Interpol. The participants reaffirmed their commitment to the fight against Daesh and discussed the strategy to achieve its lasting defeat. Minister Di Maio proposed that Italy host the next Ministerial meeting in 2020.

On the margins of the meeting, the Minister met his Jordanian counterpart Ayman Safadi.

Minister Di Maio concluded his mission in Washington with a meeting at the White House with National Security Advisor Robert O’Brien. In agenda the Middle East, Libya, the fight against terrorism and bilateral relations.
