Visit to Jamaica by the Ambassador of Italy, Armando Varricchio (March 14-15, 2019).

Washington DC, March 15, 2019. On March 14-15, 2019, Ambassador Armando Varricchio paid a visit to Jamaica during the “Diplomatic Week”, an annual event that brings together the Diplomatic Corps accredited in Kingston. On the occasion of the traditional reception in honor of the Diplomatic Corps, attended by the main Jamaican authorities, the Ambassador met Governor General Sir Patrick Lipton Allen.

During the visit, Ambassador Varricchio had a bilateral meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Kamina Johnson Smith. The meeting reaffirmed the excellent state of bilateral relations in the political and cultural field and allowed to review the state of economic relations with Italy, with a particular focuse on investments.
