The Ambassador of Italy to the United States, Armando Varricchio, concluded today a visit to New Orleans in Louisiana, on the invitation of Mayor Mitch Landrieu to celebrate the 300th anniversary of the city’s founding.
The deep historic, economic, cultural and social ties between Italy and our country were remembered. These ties –as pointed out on an op-ed published on the Times-Picayune – have left a strong impression on the city and its inhabitants.
During the visit, Ambassador Varricchio met with Mayor Mitch Landrieu and with the Governor of Louisiana, John Bel Edwards.
