School Offices and Not For Profit Agencies

The Embassy and the consular network support the promotion of Italian language and culture in the United States through the work of 7 School Offices and 5 Italian Cultural Institutes. The directors of the School Offices coordinate and monitor the activities of the Enti Gestori/Promotori [Managing/Promoting Bodies], non-profit organizations that receive contributions from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation to organize Italian language courses in public and private schools.

In the Washington, D.C. area, the School Office at the Italian Embassy in Washington D.C. promotes Italian language and culture classes in private and public American schools in collaboration with the two Enti Gestori/Promotori:

The Italian Cultural Society of Washington DC, Inc.

Supplementary Italian courses are also organized for native speakers.
