Concert by Remo Anzovino at the Embassy of Italy (November 15, 2019).

Washington, November 18, 2019. The Embassy of Italy in Washington, in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute, hosted a concert by Remo Anzovino on November 15.

Remo Anzovino is considered one of the most influential, innovative and eclectic representatives of the contemporary Italian music scene. Maestro Anzovino won the “Nastro d’Argento 2019” (special category “Musica in Arte”). His style, a cross between art music and world music, is the result of a long compositional experience for theater, advertising (for brands like Alitalia, Bulgari and New Holland) and cinema. The Italian pianist is on tour in the United States after the successes of his concerts in Tokyo and Osaka last May. The Washington performance, which was a great success, opens Anzovino’s tour in the USA. The tour will continue in Chicago (November 16) and New York (November 19) to present his new album “Nocturne” (Sony Classica).

Remo Anzovino is inspired by films and visual media, whether it is celebrating Pier Paolo Pasolini or writing original soundtracks for documentaries such as “Fight For Freedom: A Tribute to Muhammad Ali”, “Van Gogh: Of Wheat Fields and clouded Skies “And” Water Lilies by Monet: the Magic og Water and Light”.
