The Consular Chancellery can issue the following certificates:
- Registration in the consular registry, either for an individual or for a family
(Iscrizione nello schedario consolare, singola o di famiglia) - Vital records status (Stato civile)
- Proof of life / certificate attesting evidence of life (Esistenza in vita)
- Citizenship (Cittadinanza)
To request one of the aforementioned certificates, please email: anagrafe.washington@esteri.it
All other certificates can be obtained exclusively at your registered AIRE municipality.
Other Certificates
If you are registered with AIRE, you can request other certificates directly from your municipality’s website.
To access your municipality’s website, you can use SPID (Sistema Pubblico di Identità Digitale, i.e. the public system for digital identity), and also your CIE (Carta di Identita’ Elettronica, i.e. Electronic Identity Card).
