Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio and US Secretary of State, Michael Pompeo, met yesterday at Villa Madama. The discussion focussed on a number of important issues, from the Libyan crisis to the question of custom duties, from 5G technology to relations with Russia, Iran and Venezuela. Minister Di Maio reaffirmed the traditional ties between Washington and Rome, and Italy’s readiness to be a protagonist within NATO. Pompeo stated that the exchange with his Italian colleague was excellent with regard to the collaboration between the two Countries.
