FAST IT, the system that allows you to access your information and check the status of your request.

 

Instructions

  • Verify your consular jurisdiction here.
  • Register on the FAST IT portal of this Consular Chancellery by completing all required sections.
  • Always enter all personal information as per your birth certificate.
  • Fill out the registration form generated by the portal. In the case of minor children, both parents must sign the form.
  • Upload a copy of your Italian passport or birth certificate or another document proving Italian citizenship.
  • Upload proof of your current address (U.S. driver license, utility bill, or the first page of your lease agreement).
  • Also, upload both Italian and foreign passports of your entire household.

 

Attention

  • The creation of a FAST IT user account does not automatically result in AIRE registration.
  • Further confirmation will be sent by the relevant municipality.
  • One registration per household is sufficient.

 

In case of technical issues, as personalized assistance is not possible, AIRE registration requests may be sent via email.

Registration of minors

AIRE registration for Italian or dual-citizen minors is a right and is compulsory, even if they live with only the Italian parent or only the foreign parent.

 

AIRE registration of an Italian minor born in the United States whose parents reside abroad is carried out by requesting the registration of the birth certificate through the Civil Status Office (follow the instructions of the Civil Status Office).
