Call for applications for “Le D.I.V.E. Teacher Award” 2026

“Le D.I.V.E.” (“Donne Italiane che Vivono all’Estero“, i.e. Italian women living abroad) is a non-profit association formally born in Washington, D.C. in 2001. The association is exclusively based on its members’ volunteering, it is registered as a 501c(3) organization since 2012, and is recognized by the  Embassy of Italy in Washington, D.C..
The association’s mission includes promoting Italian language and culture abroad.

Le D.I.V.E. Award honors one (or more) high school Italian language teachers in public high schools of the greater Washington D.C. area. The award, funded by Le D.I.VE. charity activities and donations, ranges from $500 to $1000 and aims to support the teachers’ school activities or their professional development.

Applicants must follow the instructions contained in this PDF and send the information requested via email to ledivedc@ledive.org.

APPLICATION DEADLINE: August 1, 2026

The applications will be reviewed by a committee of at least 3 members of  Le D.I.V.E. who are Italian language teachers themselves. The award will be announced on or around September 1, 2026.
