Lo stesso giorno a Washington l\u2019Ambasciatrice apre un webinar sulla protezione del Made in Italy rivolto a imprese italiane interessate al mercato USA. All\u2019evento partecipano anche Amedeo Teti, Capo Dipartimento del Ministero delle Imprese e del Made in Italy e Erica di Giovancarlo, Direttrice della rete ICE negli Stati Uniti.<\/p>\n<p>Le celebrazioni per la Giornata del Made in Italy sono iniziate il 12 aprile a Houston, con la conferenza \u201cA journey through Italian Design\u201d della nota architetta Anne Breux, dedicata ai principali marchi italiani di design di interni, organizzata in collaborazione con il Centro Culturale Italo-Americano di Houston e l\u2019Agenzia ICE della citt\u00e0.<\/p>\n<p>Il 14 aprile a Detroit il Consolato d\u2019Italia ha presentato il documentario \u201c<em>Salvatore &#8211; Il calzolaio dei sogni\u201d<\/em> del regista Luca Guadagnino, sulla storia di Salvatore Ferragamo. L\u2019evento \u00e8 stato organizzato nel contesto dell\u2019Italian Film Festival USA &#8211; Metro Detroit, vetrina annuale del cinema italiano contemporaneo.<\/p>\n<p>Il 15 aprile \u00e8 in programma al Consolato Generale d\u2019Italia a New York l\u2019evento \u201cThe Italian Industrial Excellence &#8211; A talk with CIMOLAI Spa\u201d, conversazione con Claudia Pavan, Vice Presidente di CIMOLAI USA, Charles Barnes, Direttore Tecnico dello studio di architettura DS+R Architects, che ha disegnato l\u2019edificio The Shed di NYC, e la Direttrice della rete di ICE negli USA, Erica Di Giovancarlo, mirata a valorizzare il contributo essenziale del gruppo italiano nella costruzione di alcuni tra i pi\u00f9 iconici edifici della metropoli tra cui The Oculus, The Vessel, The Edge, The Shed e il nuovo Performing Arts Center.\u00a0 L\u2019Istituto Italiano di Cultura di New York ospita per l\u2019occasione le due mostre, \u201cFrom Byzantium to Italy: Made in Italy in a feminine key\u201d di Beatrice Risa, con una conversazione con l\u2019artista e \u201cIndustry and Art in Made in Italy: Luciano Fabro\u201d, dedicata all\u2019uso creativo di materiali industriali.<\/p>\n<p>Tecnologie made in Italy al centro dell\u2019evento ospitato per la giornata dalla Console Generale a Filadelfia con l&#8217;AD di Leonardo Helicopters US, Clyde Woltman, la Professoressa Marisa Bartolomei della Scuola di Medicina Perelman dell&#8217;Universit\u00e0 di UPENN e Gabriele Romano della Italian Scientists &amp; Scholars in North America Foundation (ISSNAF).<\/p>\n<p>A San Francisco, il Consolato Generale d\u2019Italia organizza l\u2019evento \u201cMade in Italy in Robotics, Hardware and Advanced Materials\u201d presso l\u2019Italian Innovation &amp; Culture Hub INNOVIT, come parte del programma di accelerazione offerto dal centro a un gruppo di start-up e PMI italiane.<\/p>\n<p>Il 16 aprile a Los Angeles il Consolato Generale d\u2019Italia, l\u2019Istituto Italiano di Cultura e l\u2019Agenzia ICE, in collaborazione con ISSNAF, celebreranno la Giornata del Made in Italy e la Giornata della Ricerca con un evento mirato ad approfondire il legame tra design, creativit\u00e0 e innovazione italiane attraverso prodotti come i Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses. A conference by the well-known interior Architect, Anne Breux, dedicated to the main made in Italy brands in interior design will be organized in collaboration with the Italian American Cultural Center of Houston, with the support of the Italian Trade Agency (ITA). The event includes a video presentation followed by an Italian &#8220;aperitivo&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p><strong>April 14, 2024<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>DETROIT &#8211; &#8220;Salvatore Ferragamo &#8211; Luxury and Creativity Made in Italy&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Consulate of Italy in Detroit will present the documentary &#8220;Salvatore &#8211; The Shoemaker of Dreams&#8221; by Luca Guadagnino. The event will be part of the Italian Film Festival USA &#8211; Metro Detroit, an annual showcase of contemporary Italian cinema that attracts approximately 3000 spectators each year in the metropolitan Detroit area. The film by the renowned director recounts the life of Salvatore Ferragamo, from his humble beginnings in Bonito (AV), where he made his first shoes for his sister&#8217;s first communion, to his apprenticeship in the finest workshops in Naples, and then his departure for the United States to begin building his own future. The event will feature the participation of Cimolai, an Italian company operating internationally in the design, supply, and assembly of complex steel structures. The New York Made in Italy Day will showcase the crucial &#8211; yet lesser-known &#8211; contribution of this Italian company in the construction of some of New York&#8217;s most iconic buildings, namely The Oculus, The Vessel, The Edge, The Shed, and the new Performing Arts Center. The specific objective of the event is to highlight the Italian industrial and technological expertise, which is sometimes less visible than traditional sectors. This will be achieved by focusing on the most important and original architectural works created in New York in the last two decades through collaborations between renowned architects and designers (from Calatrava to Heatherwick) and the only company capable of translating their artistic visions into sustainable steel structures. Speakers at the event will include Erica Di Giovancarlo, the new Director of ITA, Claudia Pavan, Vice President of CIMOLAI USA, and Charles Barnes, Technical Director and Principal Associate of the architecture firm DS+R Architects, which designed The Shed. The original model of this building will be on display at the Consulate during the event.<\/p>\n<p><strong>NEW YORK \u2013 \u201cBeatrice Risa Exhibition &#8220;From Byzantium to Italy: Made in Italy in a feminine key\u201d and exhibition \u201cIndustry and Art in Made in Italy: Luciano Fabro\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In the Foyer of the Institute, there will be an exhibition by Beatrice Risa: From Byzantium to Italy: Made in Italy in a feminine key. The exhibition will present garments that combine historical inspiration and modernity, interpreting Made in Italy in the sign of feminine craftsmanship. A talk by Beatrice Risa will follow the opening on April 18th.<\/p>\n<p>In the ground floor rooms of the Institute, the exhibition Industry and Art in Made in Italy: Luciano Fabro will open. It is the first review of the unpublished drawings by Luciano Fabro, related to the theme of the creative use of industrial materials. The event was organized in collaboration with the Paula Cooper Gallery in New York and the Luciano and Carla Fabro Archive.<\/p>\n<p><strong>PHILADELPHIA \u2013 Made in Italy Day at Leonardo Helicopter<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Consulate General of Italy in Philadelphia together with Leonardo and ISSNAF will present an event on Made in Italy technology with the participation of the Consul General Mele, the CEO of Leonardo Helicopter US, Clyde Woltman, Professor Marisa Bartolomei of the Perelman school of Medicine of UPENN and Gabriele Romano (Isnnaff).
