{"id":11455,"date":"2025-07-11T12:25:34","date_gmt":"2025-07-11T16:25:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ambwashingtondc.esteri.it\/?page_id=11455"},"modified":"2025-07-31T12:26:18","modified_gmt":"2025-07-31T16:26:18","slug":"procedure-e-formulari","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/ambwashingtondc.esteri.it\/it\/servizi-consolari-e-visti\/servizi-per-il-cittadino-straniero\/cittadinanza-2\/cittadinanza-iure-sanguinis-2\/primo-caso-art-4-comma-1-bis-legge-91-1992__trashed\/procedure-e-formulari\/","title":{"rendered":"Procedure e formulari"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><u>PROCEDURE art. 4 comma 1-bis lettera b<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><u>MINORS<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Contact the VITAL RECORDS Office (<a href=\"mailto:stcivile.washington@esteri.it\">stcivile.washington@esteri.it<\/a>) to schedule an appointment;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>BOTH parents must attend the appointment (even if one of them is not an Italian citizen).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>BOTH parents (including adoptive parents, or the guardian) MUST go to the Embassy on the day of the appointment <u>to sign an application<\/u> for Italian citizenship for the son\/daughter who has not yet reached <strong>ONE (1) year of age<\/strong>, based on Article 4, paragraph 1-bis, letter b, submitting the required documentation as indicated in <a href=\"https:\/\/ambwashingtondc.esteri.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/CHECK-LIST-1-art.-4-comma-1bis-lettera-b-MINORS-1.docx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Checklist 1 \u2013 art. 4 comma 1-bis lettera b) Minors<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>If it concerns an adopted son\/daughter, the application may be submitted within one year from the date following the establishment of filiation or from when the adoption is decided, and always while the child is a minor.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>If it concerns recognition of filiation, the one-year period will start from the first recognition.
