The association is exclusively based on its members&#8217; volunteering, it is registered as a 501c(3) organization since 2012, and is recognized by the\u00a0 Embassy of Italy in Washington, D.C..<br \/>\nThe association&#8217;s mission includes promoting Italian language and culture abroad.<\/p>\n<p>Le D.I.V.E. Award honors one (or more) high school Italian language teachers in public high schools of the greater Washington D.C. area. The award, funded by Le D.I.VE. charity activities and donations, ranges from $500 to $1000 and aims to support the teachers\u2019 school activities or their professional development.<\/p>\n<p>Applicants must follow the instructions contained <a href=\"https:\/\/ambwashingtondc.esteri.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/Le-DIVE-Teacher-Award-2026.pdf\">in this PDF<\/a> and send the information requested via email to <a href=\"mailto:ledivedc@ledive.org\">ledivedc@ledive.org<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>APPLICATION DEADLINE: August 1, 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The applications will be reviewed by a committee of at least 3 members of\u00a0 Le D.I.V.E. who are Italian language teachers themselves.
