{"id":1507,"date":"2021-05-15T13:27:23","date_gmt":"2021-05-15T17:27:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ambwashingtondc.esteri.it\/news\/dall_ambasciata\/2021\/05\/ingressi-in-italia-dagli-usa-e-2\/"},"modified":"2021-05-15T13:27:23","modified_gmt":"2021-05-15T17:27:23","slug":"ingressi-in-italia-dagli-usa-e-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ambwashingtondc.esteri.it\/en\/news\/dall_ambasciata\/2021\/05\/ingressi-in-italia-dagli-usa-e-2\/","title":{"rendered":"UPDATE: ENTRY TO ITALY FROM THE USA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Italian Ministry of Health Ordinance of June 18, 2021 (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gazzettaufficiale.it\/atto\/serie_generale\/caricaDettaglioAtto\/originario?atto.dataPubblicazioneGazzetta=2021-06-19&#038;atto.codiceRedazionale=21A03771&#038;elenco30giorni=false\">GU General Series n.145 of 19-06-2021<\/a>), effective from June 21, 2021, envisages the following updates as regarding entering Italy from the USA:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>the new Italian provisions on <strong>Green Certificate<\/strong> apply to the USA<a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/info\/live-work-travel-eu\/coronavirus-response\/safe-covid-19-vaccines-europeans\/eu-digital-covid-certificate_en#what-is-the-eu-digital-covid-certificate]\">\n<p><\/a><\/li>\n<li>Entry from the USA into Italy can therefore take place by presenting, upon embarking, one of the three envisaged certificates to the carrier, and subsequently to the competent Italian Authorities:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">1) <strong>anti-SARS-CoV-2 vaccination<\/strong>, including the completion (at least 14 days) of the prescribed cycle of one of the vaccinations recognized by the EMA. Those vaccinated in the U.S.A. can prove this via the<strong> &#8220;white card&#8221; bearing a CDC logo<\/strong>;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">2) <strong>recovery from COVID-19<\/strong> (with a medical certificate <strong>outlining any necessary information<\/strong>);<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">3) <strong>negative<\/strong> <strong>rapid antigenic or molecular PCR <\/strong>test carried out in the 48 hours prior to entering Italy (proved via certification from the laboratory that performed the test).<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">entry from the U.S. via these Certificates <strong>exempt travelers from fiduciary isolation<\/strong> (so called &#8220;quarantine&#8221;) <strong>upon arrival in Italy.<\/strong>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">minors accompanied by a parent\/caregiver with one of the above certifications <strong>must always take the pre-departure Covid test if they are 6 years old and over and not vaccinated<\/strong>; <strong>minors under 6 years old<\/strong> are, in any case, exempt from the pre-departure Covid test.\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Even with these Certificates, all passengers entering Italy are required, prior to departure, to complete a specific <strong>location form in digital format<\/strong> (<a href=\"https:\/\/app.euplf.eu\/\">https:\/\/app.euplf.eu\/<\/a>). Alternatively (in the event of technical difficulties), passengers can compile the specific <strong>self-certification form in paper format<br \/><\/strong>(<a href=\"https:\/\/www.esteri.it\/mae\/resource\/doc\/2021\/04\/modulo_rientro_sintetico_25_aprile.pdf\">https:\/\/www.esteri.it\/mae\/resource\/doc\/2021\/04\/modulo_rientro_sintetico_25_aprile.pdf<\/a>).\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Airlines are adapting to the new regulations also within the framework of <strong>USA-Italy Covid-tested flights<\/strong>, which will therefore comply the above-mentioned provisions.
