The Ambassador of Italy, Armando Varricchio, meets the Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia, Ralph Northam

While the Italian Navy’s Frigate “Alpino” is visiting Norfolk, the Ambassador of Italy to the United States Armando Varricchio has received the Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia Ralph Northam.

The main topics of the meeting, held in the Ambassador’s residence in Washington DC, Villa Firenze, were the profound and important political, economic, scientific and cultural relationships that Italy shares with the State of Virginia. Ambassador Varricchio underlined that “the relations with the Commonwealth of Virginia have paramount importance in the framework of US-Italy relations. The high end infrastructures, the focus on education, science and health, and the business-friendly approach that characterize Virginia are a solid foundations for the growth of our friendship”.
