Visit of the Italian Interior Minister Marco Minniti to Washington DC (1 February 2018)

Italian Interior Minister Marco Minniti was in Washington, D.C. on February 1, 2018 for talks with FBI Director Christopher Wray, Secretary of Homeland Security Kirstjen Nielsen, and Attorney General Jeff Sessions.

The meetings focused on security and stability of the Mediterranean region; on police and judicial cooperation particularly in the fight against terrorism, organized crime, and drug trafficking; on managing the migration phenomenon and on collaboration in the field of cyber-security.

The visit confirmed the strong convergence and fruitful collaboration between Italy and the United States.
