Training Seminar for teachers of Italian language on “Advanced Placement Italian Language and Culture

On Saturday February 24th the Embassy of Italy in Washington D.C. organized a training day for teachers in the metropolitan area of Washington on the topic “AP Italian Language and Culture”. The seminar was held by Ida Wilder, a College Board Consultant, teacher of Italian at Greece Athena H.S. and adjunct teacher at RIT & SUNY BROCKPORT. It covered the latest developments in teaching Italian with particular reference to the AP Italian Language and Culture Exam. The seminar was organized by the Education Office of the Embassy of Italy as part of the Strategic Plan of the National Observatory for the Promotion of Italian language and Culture, which recognizes the crucial role of teachers’ training in the academic success of students and their ability to pass the AP Italian Language and Culture Exam, administrated annually by the College Board. The seminar highlighted the importance and attention given to the teaching of Italian language and culture in the United States.
